Affirm the authentic you
Saying affirmations to bring something positive about is futile e.g I am strong.
The original role of an affirmation was to help you identify the blocks and limitations that are currently holding you back.
So if you repeat a positive affirmation and you receive negative feedback from your mind and/or body, then whatever you are affirming will unfortunately fall on deaf ears!
However, it does highlight an area for you to work on!
The great news is that once you have healed the blockage and do believe what you were originally affirming, then there is no reason to affirm something you already believe!
Therefore whatever it is you’re affirming, you are actually believing the reverse, for instance, I am strong is really the belief of I am weak: I am safe is really the belief of I am unsafe etc.
Acknowledge and accept your weaknesses/limitations beliefs and then strength and safety will inevitably ensue 👍
